Designed to sit slightly off the body, Trim Fit products provide some room for light layering and feature mechanical (fabric) stretch or elastane, combined with articulated patterns.

Not only that these pants kept me dry and warm, they also have a great fit, especially the ability to shorten them is a well thought feature.

One word review - awesome

I had waited a season to wear my other overpants out before odering the Thunder pants and I can condirm these are the best. The fact that I am now left to care about my overboots/wintershoes summarises the story: lower legs also covered/now worries about catching the chain, openings available, the front well protected :). Worth noting: the pants sit relatively tight at the hips (loosening the straps helps. In comparison to bibs and tights which I wear S at 185 cm height, the Thunder come rather tight around the hips in size M, but fit well when cycling. Would a 1cm higher back be possible?

Awesome.

I waited for a year for these to finally come back in stock and I have not been disappointed. I went for a size small as per the sized guide (5'11", 170lbs, 32 waist) and they fit like a glove. Not a lot of room to wear much more than bibshorts or the 7Mesh Glidepath pants underneath. Size up if you want to wear heavyweight pants underneath but then you would be sacrificing the outstanding fit and articulation of the Thunders. They feel weird off the bike but once you get pedaling they make sense and you can forget you are wearing Gore-Tex pants. I haven't overheated nor felt overly restricted with these pants. I haven't trimmed any of the bottom neoprene gaiter as I like them long to give max coverage for the ankle overboots. I've been commuting and biking for 25 years and these are the finest waterproof riding pants I've ever tried. To nitpick I would say a little bigger outside accessible zip pocket would be nice to hold a few bigger things like phone AND keys but otherwise 10/10.

DRY!

I’ve been cycling consistently since 1986 including competitive road, long-distance touring, commuting, and recent gravel riding. It’s provided an opportunity to put the evolution of fabrics and emerging technologies through the rigors and challenges of fit, function, and longevity. These are the best I’ve worn, ever. Fit is subjective but these are ideal for me, and are most comfortable. Function—especially during shoulder season rides, I’m often faced with putting gear on, off, on, off, with the frequent changes in temperature and precipitation across several hours on a long ride. I’ve put these on at the start of a ride and they remain comfortable across a decent range of conditions. I’ve only had them a year, but so far indicate they’re good for the long game. The stitching and build are robust, and they’re constructed like Fort Knox.

Recently completed the Colorado Trail race where at times we were bombarded by near-freezing rain and wind.

The 7mesh rain pants... painfully expensive. Absolute beasts of protection. 

Light, reinforced / extra durable in the crotch and cut perfectly to avoid rubbing them into bike/chain or otherwise.

Saw a lot of people using non-cycling specific pants and even pants cut into shorts because the cuffs would get stuck in their chains. Crazy!

If you're in need of some bullet-proof rain pants, 7mesh is crafting some gear that actually can help you do crazier things. I like that a lot

Bomber review. Recently completed the

I bought these to back up my Revo waterproof shorts for really foul conditions. To be honest, Ive worn the shorts more often than the full pants even in really cold conditions the shorts are great and give plenty of freedom of movement and I generally find I keep warm enough provided I keep moving. But for those really horrible days the pants are great. I did find it hard to fit idp7 Sam Hill knee pads under them as the below-the-knee part of the trousers are quite snug. Expensive but worth it in my view for those really horrible wet/cold days!
