Chilco Neck Warmer - Unisex Bike Thermal Neck Warmer

I've just tried out my Chilco Neck Warmer for four frosty gravel / road rides, and it is amazing!! I typically ride with a merino buff nearly all year round - switching to a lighter weight merino in warmer season, and opting for a pretty thick merino buff (folded over to give even more warmth and structure) when it gets really wintery. The Chilco, however, far exceeds the performance of my warmest merino buff for cutting the wind out while being super soft against my chin and face, and it also has enough structure to stay upright and in place when I pulled it higher over my mouth to cut the numbing windchill on fast descents, or even right up over my nose. This is way more effective than my merino buffs which constantly slip down and need readjusting to keep my face warm. As others mentioned, it is a snuck fit over my head, but once in place this is a fantastic neck warmer for winter riding!

So cosy for crispy, wintery rides!

Until now I only used thin neck scarfs (i wear someting on my neck on pretty much every ride), which would to the job in the warmer months to keep the wind out, but didn`t help that much against cold autumn/winter winds. Additionally they often slid down from my chin and I had to correct them constantly.

Both problems are non-issues with the Chilco Neck Warmer. It keeps me warm while not getting too hot on the occasional sunny climb. 
Like others have said it is a bit of a tight fit to get over your head as it is not that stretchy (or maybe I just have a big head), but in any case manageable. The plus side of that is, that when you got it on it stays exactly where you want it and does not slide down or move in other undesirable ways.

Great neck warmer

Absolutely love the Chilco Neck Warmer! The WTV fabric is softer than a cloud's pajamas. I like this neck warmer so much I sometimes wear it in temps that are too warm. Thankfully, it breathes like a yoga instructor on vacation.

As a neck warmer, for my "large" head (circumference 58cm), the neck warmer is a bit too tight to pull on and be reasonably comfortable when pulled up a bit higher to protect against cold winds.
If it could be made about 2-3cm wider in diameter, it could be perfect.
But nevertheless i will give it a further try next winter..

good quality of the materials, but a bit narrow

The material and fit are perfect. the face fabric blocks enough wind to keep things warm inside. The inside is snuggly warm against the skin. If it's really cold, you can pull it up and cover your mouth. And it's easily washable.

Love this neckwarmer!

This is a small but valuable bit of kit to keep out the cold. I used it with a Chilco hoodie and it keeps the cold from getting in around the neck area but it also breaths well so where I normally have to stop and remove items like this, I kept it on for the entire ride. Initially I was undecided if I needed this in my shopping cart but so glad I purchased this.

Cozy Companion for Long, Cold Rides

Probably the best neck warmer i've had for fall/winter time! Bought it for my training and regular outings but ended up wearing it for commuting as well, so I might actually buy a second one to rotate. It's great because it keeps you warm as the wind doesn't blow through the fabric and it feels super soft on the inside. This item will probably end up under the Christmas Tree for a few of my family members. :)

A must have !

The outer windproof layer cuts the wind which is important for a cold weather neck warmer. The insulation is compact so it is not as bulky as many fleece neck warmers. The fit is snug and close so it will not collapse or fall down. This is a much better design than other cold weather neck warmers I have seen. It will get lots of use winter biking, cross country skiing and snow showing.
