Pace sets the road alight with a skin-fit shape that feels fast from the off with an ultra-lightweight fabric enhanced with front and underarm mesh zones to encourage airflow at speed. To the rear, a simplified Anything pocket system in mesh maintains a slim profile while providing space for essential snacks and supplies. An easy-access zippered pocket to the side of the main storage area keeps your valuables secure until you need them. In keeping with the pared-down aesthetic of the jersey, Pace features a narrow race-cut collar with a chin guard to protect against chafing.

Men's Pace Short Sleeve Jersey - Men's Road Cycling Short Sleeve Jersey

I already own a Pace jersey in black and am a big fan of the design. Rear pockets are genius and though the sleeves split opinion, the lazer cut works for me.

Pace Jersey

As a long-time fan of 7mesh and a happy owner of several of their pieces, particularly the merino jerseys, I had high expectations for this jersey. Right out of the bag, it didn't disappoint on the surface. The aesthetics are sharp, the color is fantastic, and the materials feel premium—everything you'd typically expect from 7mesh's high-quality standards.

However, the fit and on-bike performance, unfortunately, fell short for me. I ordered my usual size Medium, which fits perfectly in their other jerseys, but this one had some issues. The primary problem is with the laser-cut sleeves. While they look sleek, they have a tendency to roll up during a ride, exposing the white interior of the fabric. I found myself constantly having to pull them back down.

More disappointingly, after just one wash (following the care instructions), the fabric above the collarbones has lost its shape and become loose. Now, whenever I'm riding at any decent speed (over 35 km/h), the material above the collarbone flaps noticeably in the wind, which is quite distracting and irritating. 

While I love the look and feel of the materials, these functional issues with the sleeves and post wash fit mean it just doesn't live up to the brand's otherwise stellar reputation.

A Bit of a Miss from a 7mesh Fan

The 7mesh Pace jersey is an excellent summer choice—its light, airy fabric and breathable design keep you cool on the hottest days. The fit is spot-on, comparable to other brands' larges, and the Lime Sorbet colour is subtle yet stylish. The jersey's mesh zones and UPF 15+ material offer great airflow and sun protection, making it ideal for long rides. While the simplified pocket system is convenient, I found the pockets to be positioned a bit lower than I prefer. Overall, I'd keenly purchase more if additional colours were available.

Summer Essential: Light, Cool, and Stylish

I bought this for hot day road rides. Has been perfect in that role. 

Fabric is good, fit is appropriately slim. 

Careful with the lighter colours if you are modest and don’t wear an undershirt. I got the purple pattern one and it is pretty good at keeping things modest. 

I’m a medium in 7mesh, but a large in Rapha and an (XX)XL in European brands. But the sizing tool is good so use it.

Good hot day jersey

This fits a little looser than I'd like. I bought the XL, because I was definitely in that size range. The grippers on the arms are small enough that there's a definite indentation in my biceps if I raise my arms, but honestly, they're not uncomfortable. 

The material is cool and I like the colour. It's long enough so that when I raise my arms, I'm not also suddenly baring my midriff. I'll consider more jerseys like this if/when they have more good colours/designs like this.
