The Farside Long Short is a knee-length, light knee pad compatible version of our all-surface trail short, built for three-season riding and styled for stops at the watering hole.

Women's Farside Long Short - Women's Mountain Trail Bike Short

Designed to sit slightly off the body, Trim Fit products provide some room for light layering and feature mechanical (fabric) stretch or elastane, combined with articulated patterns.

Trim Fit

I have many brands of mountain biking shorts but these are my “go to” pair. These shorts have the perfect pockets for my keys, phone and dog leash. Most notably for me is that I don’t notice them when I am riding which is the highest praise I can give a short. They need to work without being noticed. I love how lightweight they are and have the perfect length to keep me covered but cool!

Super comfy, light weight with right amount of stretch and room.

Perfect mountain biking short

Love these! they are light, and fit a little snugger than the glidepath short, which have now become my second fav. I find all baggies tend to stretch out and become looser throughout my rides, so its nice to have the fastening buckle on both sides (vs. glideplath hook to tighten them up).

New go to!

Shorts are extremely light and comfy....almost feels like wearing nothing at all! Great quality and color which is the norm for 7Mesh products. Love love love these!!

My new favs...

These shorts feel sooooooo nice. Nice material, thin but didn’t feel delicate and the perfect stretch. They also have a really nice cut! Unfortunately I had the same issue as another reviewer with the distance between the crotch and waist being far too short. I have a longer torso so generally prefer high-rise bottoms, but these shorts has the shortest distance/lowest rise that I’ve tried. Far too uncomfortable to be wearable. If you have a shorter torso it might be a non-issue! If these are ever released with a higher rise I’d buy again in a heartbeat.

Almost perfect

Loved the fabric. Unfortunately I found them too short between the crutch and the waist. I’m 6’0 tall and a size XL. Sorry.

My favorit MTB shorts. The fit is slimmer than the glidepath shorts and fits my body type better.
Very comfortable. Can easily fit my leatt airflex knee pads underneath (without any gap) 
Quickdrying if they get wet. Have had one crash in them without any damage at all to the fabric. I wish they had 2 zippered pockets like the glidepath shorts. The caribou color is darker in real life than on pictures which I prefer. 
As soon as I can find the black version on sale I'll buy an extra pair.

These are my go to for pedalling adventures. Whether it’s cruising around town, grinding up our local climb trails or bike packing , the lightweight and quick drying Farside shorts have been so awesome I bought a second pair. The zip pocket on right thigh provides easy phone access. The deep hand pockets are great for extra snacks

This is such a comfortable short that it feels like I’m wearing nothing. The fit is good, it moves with me, lighter knee pads fit with them, and they’re stylish! Although it has front pockets, I have only used the side pocket for my iPhone that fits perfectly and unnoticeably. 
For reference, I’m 5’4”, 53.5 kg (~117 lbs) and wear size XS.
