Tailored from a Merino wool and nylon knit blend, Ashlu delivers the thermoregulation and antibacterial properties that make this natural fibre so popular, with the strength and durability of a non-wool jersey.  

Trimmed with a full-front zipper, Ashlu offers five generous rear ‘Anything’ pockets - three rear and two zippered side pockets - offering a heap of storage options. Supported by fabric that resists vertical stretch, the Anything panel floats off the jersey body to help retain a clean form even when packed to capacity.  

On the bike, Ashlu’s trim fit suits party pace, pelotons, and extended adventures alike, where its Merino-rich fabric quickly bounces back to box-fresh when there’s no washing machine in sight.

Men's Ashlu Merino Jersey SS -  Men's Short Sleeve Merino Cycling Jersey

Fabric is soft and has a nice amount of stretch to it. The pockets are not stretchy wool which is really nice - no sagging. Zippered pockets are a nice touch.

Great jersey

I have been using merino wool clothing for several years now, and have come to swear by it. However, many products will claim to be merino, but in reality contain much less than 50% of the wool. Thankfully, that is not the case for this jersey. Containing over 80% merino wool makes this a true wool jersey. You can't deny the ultra softness when putting it on. Long gone are the days of irritation from scratchy polyester blends or stitching. 

As for the fit, I followed the size chart and it put me at the end of the small category. But I was able to try a small on at my LBS, and it had very tight areas around my shoulders and armpits. I have an athletic build, but my overly broad shoulders cause some sizing issues with different brands. However, the medium fits me well, and the shoulder issue is gone. 

If I could make one improvement, I would adjust the shape to be a bit more skin fitting, but this is a long shot as merino wool will stretch, especially in active wear. 

For reference, I am 5'7", 140lbs. (long arms affected my size choice of medium).

Cool in the summer, warm in the winter

I wear Merino in most situations off-bike and it makes particular sense for cycling given its wicking ability and odour control and the cut on these is great (as it is on my LS Callaghan). I have two successive years of Ashlu jersey, one from the Last Hunt and one from 7Mesh directly. I am pretty certain that the jersey has become slightly larger in later iterations (and it wasn't just bad laundering by me). That is a blessing for me because I am carrying some weight and appreciate the extra room but it is not a supertight fit, though it is not a "club fit" either.

Great jersey, slight variance from previous year

This jersey is exactly what I wanted. Great temperature control, fit is exactly as specified in the website, which is “road”/trim. . I am 5’3” , 125 lbs . The pockets are amazing. You won’t regret buying this jersey

Love this jersey

This merino jersey is truly perfect. I sized down as I find 7mesh tends to run slightly large on me compared to other brands - I usually fit into a small, but the XS Ashlu fits like a dream. Snug and slightly "race" fit, not too tight, but equally no sagging. Pockets are well designed, robust, and well placed for reaching into easily.
When and if I wear through this one, will certainly be replacing it with another!

Perfect fit and design

Can't say it often enough, but this is the only jersey you need. Cool when it's warm, warming when it's cool and still comfortable when a little wet. You may only really need one, but trust me, you rather want a couple of them.

3pm 28C? No problem. Sweat into this, it won’t stink. Open the full zip, ahhhh. Stuff a wind vest in the pocket if you’re wrong on descent. Never lose your keys again

Hot weather? No problem

The material of this jersey is wonderful. It's soft, gentle to the skin, and very breathable. I feel very comfortable during my rides. Will definitely buy again.
