The Chilco Vest features our new proprietary thermal insulation WTV 300, an advanced, lightweight loft fabric that retains or releases heat as you ride. Paired with a woven wind protective outer face fabric, the Chilco Vest works great as a second layer, but feels just as good against the skin, too. 

A large single-zip rear pocket provides plenty of space for snacks and supplies. Handily, the pocket also stows the vest when out of use, and can even attach to your frame thanks to its hidden storage straps.

Women's Chilco Vest - Women's Thermal Bike Vest

The Chilco is the perfect vest! Baggier fit for trail riding, I take mine everywhere! Absolute essential piece for layering in harsher conditions. Unzip for the way up, zip up once you're at higher elevation, or pack it onto your frame with the stash system hidden storage straps if the weather clears up. No more be bold start cold. I start with my Chilco vest.

The Chilco is the perfect

I live in this vest. I run cold and I've never been a 'start cold' gal, and while I like to be cozy I usually end up overheating mid-ride. Thanks to the Chilco Vest I can start and finish my rides without the extra layers, it's cozy enough to keep me warm and breathable enough that I don't overheat. I sized up for a slightly oversized fit so I can wear casually with a sweater off the bike.

I already love my Chilco anorak, but for days that are a bit cooler I fancied the vest, and was chuffed to pick it up in the sale. It’s such a great piece because it’s warm, and you can bring it with you knowing that if you warm up and want to take it off, you can clip it to the bike. This is essential for me as I tend to ride with just a hip pack, so I don’t have the space for squeezing in layers. Highly recommend!

Best biking vest out there

It's probably the best piece of bike clothing I have. Bought it as a side thought to other items I needed. Never thought I'd use it so much. Was meant for biking but I love it for hiking and any other outdoor activity. Never gets too hot, breaths extremely well, and keeps me warm when I need it to. For the few times I actually take it off, it packs small and fits in any bag I have.

Amazing!

While this vest is an amazing piece for its wind blocking and warmth while remaining breathable, the sizing for me personally is an issue. cycling gear in general is often not made with my body type in mind (I don't expect to be totally catered to by each and every brand out there it's not realistic yet still frustrating sometimes). That being said, the intended relaxed fit is more of a trim fit on me and the vest often slips up while riding. In hindsight I should have just sized up to begin with to an XL. I do appreciate the comfort of this piece however and its packability plus the quality of the materials and its construction.

Size up if curvy

I was looking to replace a much-loved 15 year old softshell vest I used for mountain biking that was falling apart. I could not be happier with the Chilco - the weight of the material, the design (the rear pocket is super helpful) and the fit are all excellent - surprisingly flattering even. It's been great for this chilly, windy spring we're having in New England. I'm 5'5" and an athletic 150 lbs - the large is perfect. Loose enough to layer but trim enough for road/gravel. It falls at the right spot on my hips and doesn't ride up. Well worth the money. If it ever comes in navy I'll happily spend the money to add another to my kit.

Perfect for trail and gravel

I originally bought this piece for gravel riding - normally a small but sized up to a medium for a more 'casual' fit, and I wear it for absolutely everything. Riding, running, hiking, xc skiing, casually over a sweater. It doesn't look like a cycling specific piece which is great and the stash pocket makes it a no brainer to bring along on rides where you might get a bit chilly, and it packs down small for bringing along on other adventures.

Never Take It Off

A really useful and versatile piece of kit. The stash system allows you to easily carry it on the bike without the need for a bag and 7mesh have got the material right, with the perfect balance of windproofness, warmth and breathability. I also use the top for running as well as cycling.

Great layering piece

I use my vest for running and it is a great addition to my winter wardrobe. The neck is just right as it slows me to move. I love the length as it helps cover up potential gaps while moving. Win!

Perfect fit

Of course I purchased this vest for cycling, but I wear it as a leisure 3rd layer more often now 😅 it's just too cosy and breathable that it is always the right addition to my style. Don't expect a tight fit, this vest comes more loose but still stretchy. On top the frame attachment feature is something outstanding that no other brand (I know) offers. Absolute recommended for autumn and spring.
