Not as good as expected
From the reviews and other recommendations, I was really excited to finally find a lightweight, waterproof jacket. I was between an M & L (169cm, 70kg), but opted for the L to allow me to wear bulkier layers underneath if needed.
But on a recent bike trip, on a day of rain the water was beading on the jacket which was very good, but I didn’t stay dry. After a few hours my layers were wet on the front (too much for it to be only sweat) while my friend’s were still dry. A shame, and still a good jacket but it didn’t live up to my expectations.

Tour Divide Tested!
Lightweight, breathable, and durable - the Skypilot nails all of the qualities I need in a rain jacket. I wore this jacket in rain and snow every single day of the 4,400 km Tour Divide, and when I reached the finish it still looked brand new - and was entirely waterproof! Loved the zippered pockets for storing small items and hood for extra protection through those really especially thrashing thunderstorms. The Skypilot Jacket is Tour Divide tested - and approved!

Now rain does not stop me anymore
They say there's no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing. After wearing this jacket (in combination with the 7mesh Thunderpants), I finally understand this saying!
This jacket keeps you dry no matter what, and it looks amazing (I have it in black). I love wearing it, and when it gets too warm, I can just tuck it away on my bike. It's another great invention from 7mesh! In the past, I often didn't take an extra layer on a ride because I didn't want my jersey pockets to get too packed. But now I take this jacket without worrying about where to put it in case I don't need it!
This skypilot has been one of the best purchases I've ever made.
