It's all in the details.

When we released the Glidepath Short in 2015 we knew we had a winner. Lightweight with a superior fit, there was only one way to improve on them for riders who need a little more gnar in their lives—go burlier.

The Flightpath is the Glidepath’s cousin from the wrong side of the singletrack. Originally developed for rugged mountaineering use, the fabric used in the Flightpath endures years of hard riding, international backroad wanderings, and heavy crashes. Longer, stronger, and more durable, it’s created from a double weave fabric that’s ideal for ballistic off-road missions. Highly featured for the detail-oriented, the Flightpath is ready to pedal up for hours and hours, but robust enough to take a beating when the descent doesn’t go as planned. From Glidepath to Flightpath, the trail we’re on never stops evolving, just like you.

DWR

DWR

Durable Water Repellency (DWR) refers to chemical treatments applied to fabrics to increase their resistance to water absorption. DWR chemical penetrates into the fibers and binds there, protecting the textile so that water beads and rolls off the outer layer rather than being absorbed. This helps keep fabric surfaces dry and clean, which in turn allows fabrics to main their waterproof and breathable characteristics. Significant changes to DWR chemistry are currently being developed, with reputable manufacturers and brands phasing out the use of “C8” based DWR treatments that may have negative environmental impacts. 7mesh works with vendors to ensure we use the best DWR treatments available; our fabrics do not use any C8-based DWRs.

Double Weave

Double Weave

The construction of double weave fabrics allow the face and back of a fabric to have opposing characteristics. The face is a tightly woven 4-way stretch, which keeps out dirt and water. The inside is an intermittent textured surface. This textured surface allows for wicking and moisture transport to the surface so it can evaporate, providing a dry feel against the skin.
