Outstanding
Best rain pants I've ever used. . . hands down. I got them in size small like the Glidepath pants I own but would have gone for medium if I was to order again. These need to fit over other shorts or pants and so I find mine are a little tight when wearing heavy baggy shorts underneath. I am 32" waist, 170lbs. , 5'11". The Thunders are nice and close fitting on the lower leg to stay away from chains and cranks. Excellent durability after several years now with little wear showing especially in the seat where the dirt gets ground in to the fabric by the saddle. My only complaint is the with the fabric stretch panels at the top sides of the pants. I find in a heavy downpour, rain can get at the panels and leak through as they are a touch too low and are exposed below the end of the Revelation rain jacket I use (jacket size medium and a decent length for me). Not sure how to fix this since one needs the stretch panels as the Goretex material alone wouldn't fit the pant's waist well without the stretch panels. The built in gaiters at the bottom are the secret weapon to the pant's success. Every other rain pants I've tried has had water sneak into my shoes where the other pants ended and the shoe tops began. The outer pants pocket could have more capacity but it doesn't matter really since I don't use it but would put my phone there if it was bigger. Expensive pants but these are as good as they come.

Fit is everything
I’m slim, and fall under the max measurements of the medium and the medium fits true. I’m wearing these in combination with the TK1 bib tight also in medium which fit perfectly. With the TK1s underneath the pants are slightly tight in the knees but not significantly enough to bother me to the point I’d want to sacrifice the fit to size up. The seat and waist are on point and wouldn’t want them any looser. Im a 32x32. The articulation does the trick. Now the one draw back and it’s kind of a big one because the pants are so close to perfectly dialed is that the adjustable waist straps are too short. The straps have to be completely removed from the clips to get the pants on and because the straps are so short are a pain to fit back through the closures and get closed down once on. Just a little too minimal there. The photos don’t show the waist but the waist is low. Not an issue for me but it’s not obvious from the images and might be a surprise if you’re not expecting that. Super waterproof and so far nice and rugged stellar West Coast winter riding pants!
