Men's RK2 Cargo Bib Short - Men's Road Cycling Bib Short

Pro: Longer leg length. Excellent cargo pockets that keep everything in place. Just ok compression - I would love to see this upped 30% especially in the glute and torso area to be more performance oriented. Chamois are intensely personal, but this one feels great on 6+ hour rides and doesn't feel like a diaper. Supremely stretchy and comfortable straps. Overall a very comfortable pair of bibs.

Con: Lots of panels and stitching compared with premium competitors, detracting from the aesthetic (but not the comfort). The material is a little sheer, especially in direct sunlight. The way the straps are attached/stitched has them not quite laying flat and a little twisted on the rear - again aesthetic and does not affect comfort or function.

Love them. Bought 2 pairs.

Pretty Great

I love the extra compression compared to the MK3 cargo bibs, I don't really race, but the slimmer fit suits my body posture (tall and slim) better. Bibs stay in place with grippers on legs. Very happy with this purchase.

Superb fit

Love these bibs!!!
Did a nice "steady state" gravel ride and the chamois was very comfortable. The bibs fit to size, (I'm 5'9", weigh 160lbs and fit a size Md) and the material feels like these will last me a while. The two large side slash pockets have plenty of storage room for snacks and your phone. The shoulder straps are wide enough as to not create pressure on your shoulders. I also tested these while riding my gravel bike on my favorite single track trails as there is plenty of steep climbs that have you digging deep and moving around on the saddle quite a bit. Super comfortable!!!! All in all...two thumbs up! I will be adding another pair on my next "need to buy" list.

RK2 Cargo Bib

Bought these shorts after a lot of cargo bib research. On arrival, I was immediately impressed by the feel and quality of the shorts. I ordered a small after consulting the size guide - 6ft and 73kg and they fit perfectly. I was a little bit nervous about the fit being too tight but the guide is correct. Maybe consider the more regular cargo bibs if you want a more relaxed fit. I have worn these on long epic adventures both on road and mtb across Scotland's rugged terrain and have had no problems. Very happy.

Beautifully made and supremely comfortable

The fabric on the legs is noticeably more compressive than the MK3 bibs; perfect for a higher pace and/or warmer weather. The chamois pad is also different to the MK3 shorts, this one being slightly thinner and therefore airier; again perfectly suited to more intense riding and warmer temperatures. Even though the chamois is thinner these bibs are still excellent for longer rides; i used them for over 8 hours and still found them to be comfortable.

I really like the large leg pockets. They are much bigger than those on the MK3 cargo bibs, and also have a fold of fabric at the opening which ensures the content can't easily come out.

Race ready

I got a fair few good bibs, including the high end cargo bibs from Rapha, Assos and these from 7mesh. These are my favourite, even though the ultimate bib in this category would include features from the Assos bib (probably the bands and perhaps also the special super soft and and stretchy material at the stomach area on the Assos which allows for easier access when you need to make a stop by the road side). However the fit an comfort of RK2 Cargo is superior and the chamois is just perfect, better than Assos even though that one uses far more and thicker material. These ones also look a whole lot better, mainly due to the sleeker chamois. They are thight and supportive and will and athletic cyclist body best but the fit me great and I am far from slim at 87 kg. The stomach area can cut in to your gut a bit if you carry a little bit of fat in that area like me but with a singlet “bridging the gap” that issue is remedied fully for me (I would not ever ride without a singlet under my jersey anyway). So in short my favourite bibs also very high quality and good pockets. I like that they skipped pockets on the back and only have the super nice ones on the side of the leg, I always ride with a jersey with back pockets which in my opinion does not work well with extra pockets on the bibs in the same area.

Great bibs, athletic fit, best chamois

Have 2 pairs already and bought 2 more for my upcoming stage Mtn race. Love these bibs , great quality very happy with them and will always will be my Bib short of choice

Cargo bib shorts

While tighter than the MK3, I prefer these for all day riding. The extra compression keeps them in place and prevents them from riding up when paired with leg warmers.

Perfect all day comfort

I've worn the 7mesh MK3 before and now i'm a convert to the RK2. They are highly compressive which I find feels nice and supportive for longer rides. I used these in multiple ultra-race events and the firm and compressive feel is consistent and lasting even over 1000s of kms. This helps keep everything in place and reduce saddle discomfort. They are also VERY black and remain that way even during a long ride giving them a nice crisp look all the time. I especially like the cargo pockets which are a deeper than most, so a phone/credit card/snacks feels secure. Fair warning: they are snug, but once they are on they feel great and move well.

Blacker than black

Wore these on a two day bike packing trip - day one was 37 degrees C. Fit great and super comfortable. Day two was pouring rain. Still comfortable. My new go to shorts.
