Best jersey ever
I used to be sceptical about merino jerseys but as my husband loves his Ashlu, I got one for myself too. After the first ride in it I got another one and two more for my husband. The material is soft, no scratching at all, the pockets keep the shape even when fully loaded (I cary a lot in the pockets, including a third bidon for long rides) and the fit is very flattering. A few days ago I misjudged the temperature, went for a 100 km ride in Ashlu in 28⁰C on hot tarmac roads. While a lighter jersey would have been better, I still felt ok in the Ashlu. The only improvement I'd like to see would be slightly longer sleeves, like on Skyline jersey. I will surely get a long-sleeve Ashlu as well.

Very good
Great cycling shirt from merino. It is very good on multiple day trips, i can wear it 3 days without washing. I like the colour, the minimalist design. The pockets are not merino, so i hope they stay tight for a longer periode.

Worth the investment
The merino wool jersey is the gold standard for biking period. I mistakenly ordered a jersey off this website that was polyester. I thought I ordered a merino. Long story short when I wore the polyester jersey it stunk after only one bike ride. I know that Merino wool fabric has minimal smell if you just hang dry it. So when my jersey smelled I thought this can't be right and when I checked the material it said polyester! So then I went back on the website and ordered this Ashlu Merino. Then when I went on another bike ride with the merino jersey it was a world difference. The BO smell after a day was not as nearly as smelly as polyester. Polyester is the worst fabric for biking or high intensive exercising. The merino fabric after one day no washing, the BO smell was really faint to non existent. You still need to wash it, BUT your washing is like maybe once a week. You can get in multiple bike rides with out washing every day. This is a great garment for long extended trips. No need to use a dryer either. You just wash and hang dry and overnight. It saves you time when you need a garment that can handle BO, sweat, overnight drying capability saves money on laundry expenses. Also when you wash it, I put in a mesh laundry bag on the delicate setting.
