7mesh sources the best raw materials we can find (or create). We don’t take shortcuts or play geographic favorites, and as a result, we are currently purchasing materials from Canada, China, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and the United States.
7mesh products go through multiple rounds of design, prototyping, wear testing and revision, all done in-house at our Squamish, British Columbia office, before being considered for manufacturing. We then work with the best technical apparel manufacturing facilities in the world to add their expertise. These go well beyond typical supplier relationships though – we have long-standing relationships with factory owners, senior management and staff, and consider everyone to be part of our team. This gives us a global community of contributors that collaborate to make the best possible products for a worldwide community of riders – and we think that’s awesome!
Currently, all of our manufacturing takes place near Guangzhou in southern China, in one of the most elite garment factories in the world. KTC builds the best across several industries, from sailing and workwear to ski, cycling, and outdoor products. Like us, they are committed to high standards of performance and ethics. Constructing technically complex apparel requires highly trained staff, and ensuring that working conditions and compensation programs are best in class helps retain employees. All of our manufacturing partners (past and present) are Gore-Tex certified manufacturing facilities and regularly pass social & environmental audits. KTC is a founding member of the Fair Wear Foundation.
