Perfect winter base
I am the biggest fan of merino, but on colder days up here in the west of Scotland, this is my go to base layer, hence my just buying a second. It’s so cosy, yet I never feel too hot and sweaty in it, and I can normally do a couple of short rides before I feel it needs a wash. Perfect design - just wish you would bring the mint green colour back so I can buy that one too! I’m a UK10 and the medium fit just right.

My Spring & Fall Go To
The Gryphon is an essential part of my Spring & Fall layering system and is the only baselayer I wear ski-touring on the north coast of BC. It doesn't cling to the skin when you're working up a sweat, and it dries so quickly. It's taken me a lot of years to nail down the perfect layering system, but this shirt paired with the Cache Anorak is my ultimate combo to beat the chill of Fall and early Spring riding and winter backcountry touring.
In terms of sizing, I'm a small in 7Mesh (5'6', 118lbs) and I find it fits exactly how I want. Not skin tight, but not so baggy that it feels like it's bunching up under a shell. I have two of these shirts and I'm definitely considering a third. 7Mesh, please keep this in the lineup FOREVER :)

Super warm base layer
This shirt is very warm and dries out quickly, so you don't feel wet when sweating grinding up a hill and don't get chilled on the way down. A great base layer, so fits snug and should size up if you want it more roomy. The fabric really makes this shirt stand out, normally I would wear merino wool, but never again! I will definitely purchase another one.
