Men's Callaghan Merino Jersey

100 % of 100
Made for rides that start and stay cool, the Callaghan Merino Jersey is our luxuriously comfortable, mid-weight, 3-season long sleeve jersey.

Have a question? We'd love to hear about your next adventure.

Model is: 6'3", Chest 41", Waist 33" and wears a medium.

Worn on its own, with a base layer, or as a mid-layer when paired with a jacket, the Callaghan is a versatile jersey, perfect for fresh road rides or off-season singletrack.

A top of two halves, the Callaghan’s interior is made from merino wool, and the exterior, a wear-resistant polyester. Blending the warmth, odor resistance and temperature regulation of merino with a synthetic outer allows the Callaghan to wick faster, and better resist the rough and tumble that comes with roadside tube changes and forest fly-bys.

Tailored with reassuringly high neck, and trimmed with an easy-pull full-length zipper, the Callaghan includes two deep, angled rear pockets, detailed with internal sleeves to safely secure your phone, and headphone ports for routing cables. Reflective details complete the top.

  • Merino Wool Poly Blend (with a brushed backer for warmth)
  • 35% Merino / 65% Polyester

  • 304g

  • Fast dry, warm wool.
  • Two large angled pockets on the back for easy fall/winter access.
  • Two internal sleeve pockets inside rear pockets to keep your phone secure.

This is a great top, the colour pops out which should give contrast so drivers can see me and it's really comfortable. Fits true to size too.
  2. André

    Great jersey !

This is the second one I buy. The Callaghan jersey as a vert good fit and comfortable to wear.
  3. Susan

    great jersey

Great jersey for 40-60 degrees or so. Works well with a merino base layer. great wicking and temperature control. Best used with a vest/gillet on mountain descents because merino doesn't block wind well. I got the Men's because 1) I'm tall and 2) I liked the color blue far better.
  4. David

    Fantastic and warm

Great jersey, light and warm with a close to the body fit. Perfect for spring-fall riding or for early cold mornings. I'm 6'2'' - 185 lbs and the size Large fits like a glove.
  5. Nathan

    nice and cozy

Great fit, relatively warm, and very comfortable on bike. the pockets could be more easily accessible but other than that, great jersey
  6. Bert

    Great shoulder season jersey

Great jersey for cool weather riding. Perfect balance of warmth, breathability and air permeability. Smooth one-hand zipper operation. Comfy pocket access.
  7. Kyle

    Very impressed

I'm been very impressed with this jersey so far. It fits beautifully and the wool is soft and comfortable against the skin. The twin pockets take a little getting used to, but work well in my opinion.

  8. Handsome

    Super satisfied

Got it home, wore it around the house and started to have some doubts about the fit, as it was a bit uncomfortable off the bike. Rode with it a few days ago in the first truly challenging winter coastal weather, and was really surprised at the warmth and comfort of it with just a thin windbreak ...

    Callaghan Merino Jersey

I already have a large Callaghan jersey and I love it, but wanted an xl for MTB as I don.t need it to fit as tight. I am 6’2” about 180lbs. These jerseys are one of my favourite 7mesh pieces. So versatile for layering. A merino T shirt underneath for cool MTB rides and a softshell or hard shell ...

Merino has a monopoly for a reason

I like Merino wool t-shirt and sweaters for every day wear, but honestly I thought that high tech materials were the way to go with long sleeve jerseys. I was wrong. This jersey again proves what a great material wool is-warm, odor free, comfy stretch and breathable. It is densely woven and nicely ...

  11. Doug

    Comfy and warm

I got this as a base layer to wear under my Freeflow Jacket, and it works well for that, as well as on its own.

  12. John

    Jersey works for many conditions

My Callaghan arrived in early October, and has been great for conditions in the Alberta and BC Rockies. The trim fit works well under wet or cold weather outers, and was all the warmth I needed on most of our 2021 glorious Alberta fall afternoons. The double, angled pockets took a little time to get ...

    Perfect Fall/Winter Riding Jersey

I love this thing. I use the Synergy jersey for most of my Fall and Spring riding, but wanted something for those colder Late Fall, Winter and early Spring days where the temps are lower. This layers great with a thicker baselayer and vest/windjacket/shell for covering you in those temps below 45 ...

  14. Markus

Very good fit and comfortable to wear. A must for merino lovers
  15. Cvachi

    Stylish and warm

Nothing beats merino as far as comfort, nice smell and warm goes. slim in a body with reasonably long arms. It is simple and gets the job done. I would appreciate three rear pockets more, but what can I do? :-)
  16. Dev

    All Around Fantastic

An awesome jersey that has kept me very comfortable over the past fall and winter in New England. Never felt clammy despite the amount of sweat it has pulled, and I rarely had the desire for more wind protection.
  17. Jaspreet

    Great cold weather kit

Bought this mid September, found that the Cypress jersey just wasn't cutting it for the colder rides, I do run very cold (often have cold hands and feet and just don't deal well with the cold). I've used this to cycle in temps ranging from -2 to 8 degrees. Great set of winter kit and ...

  18. Murman

    Warm and comfortable

Amazing jersey! This has been the perfect mid layer for winter biking. I use a thin merino T shirt, the Callaghan jersey and a 7mesh soft shell in any weather from 0 deg to -10 deg and very comfortable. I believe it is better than a similar Ice Breaker piece because of the combination of ...

    Fantastic products

This is my second 7 mesh jersey, same great quality as first. What I like most about 7mesh products is the fit, versatility with pockets, colours and design and quality. I am slowly switching all my kits over to 7mesh. I ride mostly gravel longer rides.
  20. Garrett

    I don't understand how it's so good....

I read the other reviews. They all made this sound great, so I ordered it with excitement. When I received it, I honestly thought there is no way this jersey can be as warm as advertised. It's not super thick, and the fabric doesn't feel like it would be very good at blocking any wind. ...

  21. Steve

    Best Jersey I ever owned

I am truly in love with this jersey, it is super comfortable and keeps me warm even on cold euro winter days. And what to say about Merino, once you experienced a merino product you won't buy anything else anymore. Would give 10 stars if I could.
  22. Reto

Great addition to the cycling wardrobe

So far I had only 4 rides, mostly gravel, in the Callaghan Merino Jersey, each around 60km, average temperature was around 3C to 7C. With a light baselayer and a vest I felt really comfortable during the entire ride. Fit (in an XXL, 194cm) is a nice but somehow a cozy trim fit, material feels great, ...

  23. Brian

    Second one, and still amazing.

I loved my Callaghan from last year so much I picked up another. They last and I love them.
  24. Rodney

Closest thing to a Cycling Sweatshirt

Riding in northern New England, the temperatures go from summer to near freezing like a snap of the fingers in late-October. Prior to wearing the Callaghan, I was constantly experimenting with layers - an undershirt, mid-shirt, arm warmers, outer jersey, gilet, etc. The Callaghan is a layer saver. I ...

Want something warm & cozy besides that bourbon in your bottle? Put this Callaghan Merino Jersey on and stop using the weather as an excuse to stay inside. Fits true to size and is a great stand alone cool weather jersey. Pair with a shell for the really cold days.
  26. PNEW

    Punches above its weight

I didn't think this jersey would keep me warm on first impression (given how light pliable it is) but I am happy to admit I was wrong. I have worn the Callaghan on 10+ Calgary area rides, ranging from 0 Celsius to 12 Celsius, and have been warm on each one. I have a merino base layer (long or ...

  27. JM

Exactly what I was looking for. Warm and light. And the pockets !
  28. Teodor M

My go-to from fall to spring

The material in the Callaghan is fantastic. Usually my merino stuff feels heavy and wet when I sweat, but this blend is the perfect mix of warm and well performing. My only problem with this jersey is that when using the back pockets the stuff usually snags on the inner pocket. I dealt with it by ...

  29. Rich

    Just the thing

First sizing; I am 6' and 170 lbs. chart says M, but for my thin frame I have wide shoulders and long arms, based upon another reviewer of similar build I went with the Large. Glad I did! Large fits perfectly! I wanted something that kept my arms warm at cooler temps (for me that is 50s and ...

  30. hrw

    perfect product

I struggle to find bike wear that fits me well - I'm tall (6'2), skinny (175lbs) and have wide shoulders and long arms. This, in large, is ideal for me - not skin tight, no sag in the front when I'm in the drops, lots of stretch, perfect length. Wear this with a merino base in Pacific ...

  31. Chris

    Comfy and versatile

I rarely write product reviews but this jersey absolutely rocks so I thought I'd share the info so others can enjoy this super cozy and versatile jersey. I got this at Christmas to replace my 10 year old Sugoi winter jersey and it is like night and day. This thing is cozy when you put it on ...

  32. Graham

    Love it

Keeps you warm on those cold damp mornings.
  33. David

    Super versetile

Best cold weather bike jersey I could imagine.
  34. Jim

    Versatility x10

Fantastic cold season jersey. Easily paired up with a jacket or vest for added wind resistance. The front panels do a pretty good at blocking enough wind on the downhills and of course the merino magic handles everything else. Sizing is true. Another gem from the gang at 7m.
  35. Peter

    Super comfortable

My go-to jersey for winter riding. The combination of merino with synthetic makes it a super soft and warm jersey that never looses shape, and wicks sweat very well. Usually carry a 7mesh vest in the back pocket for when it gets even cooler at the end of the day, I have a long downhill, or it gets a ...

  36. DavidG

Super comfy. Wicks moisture like no other

While riding this bit of kit on a recent gravel ride with climbs in excess of 10% during a rain, sleet then snow kind of day, I knew this piece would now be my ‘go-to’ base layer. In fact, after using it multiple times now, I ordered a second one. Other brands, I would typically sweat out during ...

  37. Sean

Perfect winter jersey esp with 7mesh jackets

Great feel and fit. I wear it with no base layer because of that awesome merino lining. I pair it with the Rebellion for really wet conditions and the Corsa for when it's dry/light moisture and cold. So far 1-10C range with those outer layers and it's great combo. I get pretty sweaty and ...

  38. Loran

My new favourite cold weather jersey

I wear this jersey on almost every ride below 10 degrees, whether it's road biking or fat biking.
  39. Brian

    Warm and versatile

I used to use mostly short sleeve jerseys with base layers and/or arm warmers in cold months, but once you've used great long sleeve jersey it's hard to go back. I've used this as my outer layer on a 10+C day, with a vest when it gets a bit cooler, and underneath a jacket when even ...

  40. Toby

Perfect for "warm" winter days in Nebraska

Rode the last two days with this on. Temp from 38-48 F and wind 7-10 mph. Ride speed average 17. I was amazed at the wind stopping ability and overall warmth without getting wet. My heart rate was about 135 average so I was working real hard, but any moisture I did make was wicked away. The cut on ...
