Ashlu is our do-it-all merino wool cycling jersey, made for road, gravel and pretty much everything in-between.

Description

Is it really wool? Ashlu is so light and cool you’d be forgiven for thinking that it couldn’t possibly be merino.

And not just any merino. Ashlu features a 17.5 micron, mulesing-free 89% wool - 11% nylon fabric blend, a clever combination that delivers the thermo-regulation and anti-bacterial properties that make this natural fibre so popular, with the strength and durability of the best synthetics.

Trimmed with a full-front zipper and a perfectly-sized collar, Ashlu features five generous rear ‘Anything’ pockets - three rear and two zippered side pockets - offering an array of storage options. This innovative pocket system stows ride essentials and even larger items in complete security and organisation. Supported by fabric that resists vertical stretch, the Anything panel floats off the jersey body to help retain a clean form even when packed to capacity.

On the bike, Ashlu’s semi-relaxed fit suits party pace, pelotons, and extended adventures alike, where its merino-rich fabric quickly bounces back to box-fresh when there’s no washing machine in sight.

  1. As a jersey for riding mile after mile in comfort with all sorts of stuff in the pockets, it’s the best I’ve used. It's very comfy, very well made and that capacious floating pocket is just brilliant.

    Watch out: new design

I had 2 of them, one became too small (or me too fat;-) the other one was cut by the paramedics. I wanted to replace it. But now the color is hardly bearable and the rear pockets are now in a completely seperated flap made from some hard and unflexible material, which for me as a recumbent biker is ...

Great service, perfect fit and ready to get another one.

This is my first merino wool cycling jersey and I don't think I'm going back. Built to fit while in the saddle (I felt the shoulders were a bit tight while standing, but when I sat down for a ride, the fit was spot on). I wore this jersey out in March at 16 degrees without an undershirt ...

    My new favorite jersey!

The small size fits very well for my 5'8, 145lb frame. The sleeves are not loose and they do not ride up even though there are no sleeve grippers. Merino material feels luxurious and stretchy! Pockets are well thought out and easy to access. I can even carry an extra water bottle in the middle ...

    All time favourite

I prefer merino over synthetics on my jerseys and the Ashlu is still the best, especially with the updated pocket design. They sold out too fast again on 7Mesh, but I was lucky to grab one in Brickwood and 76 Jag at dealers for some colourful spring rides.

Merino is the way to go!

This is my second merino wool cycling jersey, unlike quick-dry and synthetic jerseys, both are amazing because they perform so well and they don't need to be wash everyday. This particular shirt has only been tested in cold and very cold weather during fatbiking where it did quite well in ...

Pardon the sheep puns! If you already appreciate the moisture wicking, 4 season functionality of good wool then this is your jersey. Classic styling with added function of the 7mesh pocket layout.

    Holy grail of jerseys

This is exactly what I was dreaming of in a wool jersey. Classic and clean styling that is not too thick and as soft as you can imagine. The sizing is spot on I’m 5’8” (173cm) and 155 lbs (70) and a medium is a comfortable snug fit. It’s not too tight but also not loose. Well done with this ...

The perfect jersey for so many temperatures, occasions and types of riding. My go to shirt for everything but very hot weather. No smell at all after a multi day bikepacking trip.

    Great design fit and functionality

I was stunned by the feel of this jersey. Fit is spot on the size guide and the breathability is extremely good. I love the rear pockets they make it easier to retrieve items while riding and the zipper pockets make a safe spot to stash my keys. So good.

    Great PNW shoulder+ season jersey

Living in the majestic PNW, there're plenty of those not-so-ideal days, so I love having this weight jersey. Perfect for sub 75-degree days or ever warmer when the sun is behind the clouds. Fit is true and the pockets add plenty of storage...

    Swiss Army Knife of Jerseys

Merino is Mother Nature's "technical fabric" and this jersey is chock-o-block full of it! More merino than brands of a similar price point, which is nice. Further, the understated 7Mesh color scheme/aesthetic beats that of its flashy "EURO" counterparts.

I like the Ashlu a lot. One more 7mesh product of my preference.

What I have liked from the beginning: the rich 89/11 merino/nylon fabric and the feel of the material, the sizing with including the sleeves without silicone grippers and the prolonged tail, the spaciousness of the pockets, the elegance of my dark blue colour (personal preference). What I have ...

    A fantastic do-all jersey

The Ashley Marino jersey is an Incredibly soft, durable jersey. I’m happily surprised how comfortable this jersey is under cool to hot temps. The jersey holds a tiny bit of moisture during sweaty rides, however the weight of merino does a nice job removing any distraction next to skin. And ...

    A great Bikepacking/Cycle Touring jersey

These things are amazing. I have two of the 2019 version of this (and my wife has two of the 2019 women's version) and we recently did a 6 day bike packing ride in central Sask. We each took 2 Ashlus so as to have a backup if our jerseys got a little ripe. After 4 days we did switch to the ...

    Favorite adventure day jersey

A little thicker than your Pinner race jersey but this jersey is form fitting yet not skin tight. I prefer this for bigger days as sometimes super tight jersey get to be suffocating. This one breaths really well and wicks sweat and drys quickly. It's durability is unreal. Pockets have a bottom ...

A perfect balance of comfort and utility

After a couple gravel rides with the Ashlu, I decided to test the jersey on a 200k road ride in 25 degree weather. It was perfect. Comfortable for the entire ride, even with my rear pocket packed like the cheeks of chipmunks, the jersey felt light when the sun was hot and moderated cooler temps in ...

    Extremely comfortable jersey

Was looking for a Merino Jersey and found this one! Very comfortable and keeps me cool on very warm days (39deg celcius). The back pocket holds a lot and are well made. It’s a slim fit so if you like a little bit of room I suggest size up.

    Awesome road jersey!

Great jersey, fits as advertised, feels awesome to ride in. t's a more relaxed fit than some of the super tight race jerseys, but that makes it very comfortable to wear. Still fits tight enough that there isn't excess fabric flapping around in the wind.

    Perfect

Incredibly comfortable with well thought out, secure pocketing. By far the best jersey I have ever worn. It's made long adventure rides on the gravel that much better. I love this piece.
