Featuring weather-protective 3-layer Airmap throughout, interspersed with 2-layer Airmap panels on the back of the legs, the Grit Pant is ready for the toughest rides of the season. Fully taped against the elements with stretch seams for enhanced freedom of movement, Grit delivers the comfort and protection you need when giving your best on the trail. Dual hand pockets with internal mesh phone sleeves separate your phone from keys and keep your carry comfortably away from the action when pedalling. A suede belt with a smart aluminium hook buckle provides plenty of room for manoeuvre at the waist. While at the hems, an elastic half-cuff ensures a dialled fit and ease of entry.

Men's Grit Pant - Men's Trail Riding Pant

Perfect for layering or a more laidback vibe, Relaxed Fit products combine articulated patterns with an eased shape that works on or off the bike.

Relaxed Fit

Love these for a winter pant. The water resistance vs breathability tradeoff is nice - these pants keep me dry on mucky days when it isn't raining very hard while still being pretty breathable. The fit is dialed and the pockets hold a phone really well. I reach for these all the time.

Classic winter pant

These are the best pants I've tried for winter riding in the US Pacific NW, where I'm usually climbing steep hills and it's cool and damp but not super cold. They're breathable enough to not overheat and water resistant enough to stay dry in a rain shower while still feeling like normal riding pants. Fit seems true to the size chart (I wear a S in most riding pants but sized down to XS for these, I use the largest waist adjustment but the fit is perfect for me).

Excellent winter pants

Great build quality, as you’d expect. One ride in, in proper winter conditions - slushy trail and mud, temps at around freezing. Wasn’t raining, but trails super wet. Got my ass wet, from rear tyre spray, hence 4 stars. Not sure if the wetness was due to Airmap fabric or something (fabric I think). Sizing: at medium, waist a bit tighter than eg Slab shorts, but perfect for me. I’m 179cm/75kg.

Found my winter pant

Used a few times now. Both rides were muddy and wet, not active rain, but damp conditions. Pants held up well. They feel more durable then GlidePath, fit just as comfortable and the water protection seems better than other pants from other brands.

I am not a fan of the hook and ladder belt system.

Still would recommend.

Excellent Fall Riding Pant

So far one ride but love them. Exactly what I was looking for. It was a damp wet ride today. No active rain, the rain stopped a few hours before so the trails, ground and brush were all wet. It was cooler at about 10C. Pants held up well against the water, the mud and kept me in the right temp zone. Bought to replace another well reviewed BC made pant. Looking forward to replacing those with these.

Perfect Pant

These are really, really good. The fit and construction is exquisite. The waist is a bit snugger than the flightpath or glidepath, which is a good thing. I thought I’d miss the side zip pockets, but the mesh sleeves inside the hand pockets do a perfect job of keeping my phone secure but handy. I slipped a pedal coming off a medium-size drop, and took the hit right on the shin. My pedal did put a hole through the fabric, but it is so tiny that it’s not worth fixing. Frankly, I was amazed the pants weren’t a total loss. The impact was hard enough to draw blood in multiple spots on my shin—through the pant, through the neoprene shin sleeves I had on. Somehow only pedal pin got through the fabric. These are tough, comfortable, breathable, well-made pants. I’ll probably buy a second pair despite the extreme cost, as they’re just that good. I got a medium, and am 70” 200# 34” true waist 32” inseam.

Truly stellar pants

These pants are perfect for those chilly rides where getting wet is a real possibility. They have an impressive combination of breathability and water resistance and have helped expand my range of comfortable riding conditions.

Great cold weather pants

Compared with the Glidepath pants which I owned before, the Grit pants are made of a much tougher and more robust fabric. They do a good job of keeping out wind, spray and light rain (haven’t tested in heavy rain yet), but never get too hot. The pockets are well designed and it is great to see the return of the internal phone sleeves on both sides. Two other improvements over the Glidepath are that the hook and loop waist adjuster is tighter and the semi-elasticated ankle cuffs make the pants easier to take on and off. All round great winter trail pants for the UK.

Great winter trail pants

Love the fit and choice of fabric for the pants. I’m about 160lb/5’9” and the small fit great. The only change I’d like to see is a belt system like the Glidepath pant. Overall great product.

Great pant

I'm one ride into the Grit and I already have a good idea what they're all about. I took them out this aft in a classic Vancouver Island deluge of rain. I climbed up hard with pace and descended in full attack mode smashing through any puddle that stood in my way. It was a glorious ride. The temps were a balmy 13 deg Celsius and as I picked up pace on my climb I kept anticipating a dreaded garbage bag legs scenario...but it never happened! Airmap is no joke. Surprisingly, they didn't feel any different than my non-waterproof riding pants?! Water gloriously beaded up on the grit pants as the rain pelted down and puddles parted like the red seas by will of my 29" pizza cuters! But you can't party all night long anymore, so I'm figuring out in my mid 40's. I felt a small squish in my waterproof shoe and I tried to convince myself it was the shoes fault...not my new god, the men's grit. Maybe I bootered myself?!? But alas, the enemies seige continued and the front lines were broken. The water had found it's way in much like the air. Initially I was disappointed, I thought I had found one of the answers to life's greatest mystery. But then I realized...I had just discovered the perfect Mountain bike pant daily driver. They valiantly held off the enemy for close to an hour amidst the most brutal of wet days before surrendering...and by that point I was not that far from home. I was wet...but not that wet. I could wear these pants happily 75% of the time in the non-summer times and be perfectly content. I call that a win. 5/5 baby. Sizing and comfort are spot on. I'm 5'8" with a 29" waist and I'd say these pants have a one step slimmer than what i'd call a relaxed fit. Waist band works great. Cellphone mesh pocket inside of a pocket was perfect. I don't think you'll regret this one...
