Description

Thunder Pant came to life because we were tired of getting soaked in Squamish. The rain comes from all angles in British Columbia’s wettest town, and while our tops were toasty, our legs needed shelter. So we started working on fully waterproof trail longs that wouldn’t stand out as being anything other than awesome adventure pants - until it rains.

We made Thunder Pant with two different weights of GORE-TEX PRO fabric to offer impregnable water protection, best-in-class breathability and exceedingly high levels of durability in repeat friction areas like the seat and upper legs. And it’s built to put on while wearing shoes - even over other pants - thanks to the velcro-secured stretch fabric at the end of the legs, and watertight zippers. A fly-free front gives way to stretch panels and straightforward side buckles at the waist to help dial in a perfect fit.

To cater for different leg lengths, Thunder Pant features a trimmable cuff. If you need to shorten them, pull out some scissors and cut the cuffs along the pre-marked lines. Then ride and repeat until they’re the perfect length.

    Ambassador Review/Athlete Pick

The Thunderpants have been a godsend this winter, motivating me to get out in all those wet weather days, not just keeping my lower half dry but warm as well.

    Incredible rain pants

Rain pant luxury. I've previously owned many other top brands rain pants, but none of them had the performance cut of the Thunder Pant. When I commute with them I have to take my wallet and phone out of my pockets - that's how good the thigh fit is. The only waterproof pants I would ever ...

    Should have bought 2 pairs

Sure, these aren't cheap. But like all the 7mesh stuff, the fit (on the bike) and articulation are perfect. The fit probably favours a slimmer thigh - I'm 6'3 215lbs and my thighs feel a bit snug. Oh and the crash replacement! I smashed a hole in the knee on like the third ride and ...

    Riding Season Extender

These pants are worth every penny if you want to continue to ride in any weather. I've clocked about 15 rides in mine so far, as well as a handful of days commuting in the rain. I use mine for both MTB laps and gravel adventures and find that they fit well for either, and work very well with my ...

    No1 pants

I’ve had a good few very wet rides in them and have never been wet yet! Pants really are fitted to riding, they stay under your coat and don’t leave a gap when you’re moving around on the bike. They don’t have any tight spots when pedalling in the seat and are comfortable all day long! At ...

    Great, light and 100% waterpoof

Purchased these not only for bike, but for hiking as well. Great fit, 100% waterproof material, manufactured superbly. May use suspenders as the waist adjustment seems a little flimsy.

    Very good pant

Only had for a few weeks, but has performed well in <5C and in the rain. High back and full-tibia-length zippers are great. Trimmed up the length on the first day. Minor item: the lower leg zippers catch really easily on the subflap near the ankle.

    Ride and don’t care

That’s the best piece ever because most the time when it’s that nasty outside I’d be doing something else but with the pants I just don’t care I stay dry warm and comfortable for the most part given that it’s wet cold in nasty and now I don’t have to clean up several piece of clothing, I ...

How have I gone years without these?!

I know these are brand new, but I could have done with these years ago! Transformed my winter riding completely and now ride far more just because I know I'm going to stay warm and dry. Teamed with my Guardian jacket and a baselayer, these are perfect for winter riders here in the UK, worn them ...

    Super versatile, super waterproof

From bikepacking to gravel riding to mountain biking to road biking, the Thunder pants have been a go-to piece for me when riding in the rain. I run a size small, and am lean enough to wear some really thin knee pads underneath, which I've found to be awesome. That said, I’ve been using them ...

The best pants ! Worst courier!

The pants are the most waterproof and breathable piece of kit I’ve ever used. Real shame the courier service is so unhelpful and unreliable.

    World (and Weather) Beating Pant

I've probably bought and been disappointed with five 'waterproof' pants over the years for cycling, so I was excited to see that 7mesh had added waterproof pants to their range. I have many items of 7mesh clothing and I've yet to be disappointed. True to form, the Thunder Pants ...

The Pant I Was Waiting For A Long Time

A Pant that you can wear on your daily commutes (you can even wear them with more slim fit jeans underneath) so it's perfect for your way to work. They keep you dry forever! Work great with overshoes cause the lower part can be snug up so no rain is coming in from the bottom. It's also a ...

    Absolute water and wind protection!

Did not really need those, but love them from first try. They provide absolute water and wind protection, great riding fit, two way waterproof ventings. Great idea is the neoprene hem at ankle. Little bit weird is the absence of zipper fly, but you have two adjustments at hips. Superb protection for ...
