mens's RK2 bib short

I own Rapha Core, Rapha Brevet, Assos Equipe RS S9 and Equipe RS S11. I can say without a doubt that these are much more comfortable and fit better than all of the offerings from Assos or Rapha I own.

At first glance, the RK2 looks a bit underwhelming compared to other brands.. and it almost feels like paper, very similar to Castelli Premio bibs. 

When you wear it, though.. boy o boy... the fit is PERFECT, the leg grippers are insane (they REALLY stay in place.. while all other bibs I have all run up my legs at some point), the chamois is very firm and supremely comfortable, the compression is perfect. 

Only things I could improve are:
1. The chamois does not dry easily or fast...
2. The straps are very comfortable, but perhaps a bit long, and they don't "look" premium
3. Not a big fan of the 7mesh written on the leg.. I'd prefer a small logo

BUT... this is without a doubt the best bibshorts I own.

Absolutely amazing

The 7mesh RK2 bib shorts in size large offer elite performance with their second-skin fit—perfect for speed and endurance. The hem and silicon gripper are some of the best I’ve seen, providing a comfortable and secure fit without squeezing. The Force platform chamois is incredibly comfortable for hours in the saddle, and the breathable design holds up well in the heat. The fit is spot on, comparable to other brands’ larges, making sizing straightforward. While the straps are a bit long, the excellent compression makes this a non-issue. Overall, these are some of the best shorts I’ve used this year.

Top-Tier Cycling Shorts: Comfort, Fit, and Performance

I bought these bibshort just before I was to under take a off-road gravel ride for 7 days (roughly 700k/8000mtr) and they were great! Comfortable, good compression (which also helps keeping legwarmers in position). But sadly I crashed with them during an ride with on my race bike. Ripped a hole in them. However the 7mesh service/support went to extremes and replaced them entirely. Now that's service!

Great compression

I'm a physio bike fitter in Vancouver, and needless to say, a good bike fit is the best way to improve comfort on the bike. For the enthusiast rider and above, a well-fitting bib short is crucial, and the RK2's are the ones I personally default to for long and fast days on the bike. I can feel the extra compression in the fabric supporting and stabilizing my muscles. My favorite part of the short is the performance force chamois, which contours to my anatomy way better than any chamois I've had in the past. It has helped me ride longer and harder because I don't feel any skin friction at all, and I find I finish all my rides only sore in my muscles, where it should be. Bravo 7Mesh!

My go to short for big or fast days

I own and love the RK1 bibs and recently refreshed the kit with the updated RK2. They're as incredible as ever: the fabric, fit, function, details, tailoring, and overall quality of these bibs places them amongst the best bibs in the world. And yet, their price point almost defies logic. These are CAD $300 compared to CAD $415 for what would be Rapha's equivalent: the Pro Team bib shorts. Now, I happened to buy a pair of the Pro Team bibs earlier this year, because I'm always keen to see what's out there (and 90% of my cycling kit is 7Mesh) and compare. I can confidently share that the RK2's straps are softer and tug less on your shoulders, the main fabric is smoother and feels more performance oriented, and the chamois in the RK2s makes the chamois in the Rapha bibs look and feel like a cheap piece of foam. The RK2s are unbelievably good. At CAD $415, they'd be hands down, better than the Rapha Pro Team bibs. At CAD $300? No contest. Buy multiple.

Wow, theese bibs are just amazing, Great compression, thin but very resistant lycra and chamois made for long days on the saddle. I'm 6'2''/180 lbs and size M fit like a glove.

very comfortable and fit was correct. have only used they a few times on my indoor trainer but very pleased with my purchase. definitely will purchase more for the upcoming season

RK2 Bib

Great shorts, and most definitely the best chamois I’ve used over the past 20 years as a keen cyclist. The fit is tighter than I’m used to, but once in, they remain super comfy even after many hours in the saddle. My next shorts purchase will be another pair of these.
